Could i have throat cancer at 19?

Assuming your not a hypochondriac, I personally believe that we are, are own best doctor. If something seems out of the ordinary and is bothering you, there is no harm in consulting a doctor to ease our nerves. As someone who works with cancer patients daily, I must tell you that cancer has no age. Yes, certain sub types of cancers are age specific and do not target 19 years old, I must remind you, you are not invincible. Risk factors for ENT cancers (ears, nose and throat ) are diet, expose to asbestos, chemicals, smoking and alcohol. The fact that you smoke and are often exposed to smoke doesn't help. What I am suggesting is not that you have cancer, but please be aware of your surroundings. You most likely have a throat infection cause discomfort and irritation. Try rinsing with salt walter and use lozenges to ease the pain. Pharmacies often sell mouth washed with analgesic to numb the pain. If the irritation persists and you run a fever, you should try to see a doctor.
