What does tomby mean. ASAP?
In the book, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, there was this sentence: On stormy days, the wooden bottom of the airshaft was wet and smoky and gave a TOMBY smell. I looked in all the dictionary websites I could think of, does anyone know? Thanks.
