Our neighbors house is pretty close to our house, and we had no idea about the glare when we bought the house. When the sun hits the neighbors bright white vinyl siding, we have to close the shades because the sun bounces back in our window like you're looking at the sun! I'm not doing justice to it, it might sound nice, but it's a glaring bright, so bright you need to blink a few times after you shut the blinds (like having your picture taken, but with the flash never going off!) I really wanna run a 5k because it's a great cause and it's great for your health. The only thing is I'm pathetically out of shape. I am 20 yrs old, female, 5'6 and 155lbs. I work out occasionally but I have always had bad lungs cuz I was raised in a cigarette smoky house. Should I wear false eyelashes for my audition?

My mom and I are flying out to Seattle so I can audition for x-factor, I want to do my eye makeup a sort of smoky eye with a small layer of liquid liner only on the top lid (no liner on my bottom) and then applying some natural false eyelashes. My real lashes are long but stick straight out and I have to use an eyelash curler, I can get them to look fake but it requires putting layers and layers of mascara and it makes them look gunky and clumpy and re-curling them messes up my eyeshadow and liner! I don't like wearing liner and shadow with my regular lashes because I don't think it looks good at all, I only ever wear mascara because my eyes are blue and they already stand out and I think it looks alot better and more natural. But I can never wear anymore makeup for special occasions cause it just doesnt look right. With false lashes I don't have to worry about re-curling my lashes or applying mascara, just a little to blend them in with my real ones. Anyway I want to wear them becuase it's a special occasion and I want to stand out more and give my eyes more of a pop. My mom thinks it will look "trampy" and they want me to look my age, while this is true I'm not going to overdue it, I'm still going to give it a natural look. What's your opinion?

Blue smoke from Jetta 1.8T exhaust when over revved?

So, last summer I got my license and wanted to learn to drive a stick shift because I needed to if I wanted to drive to school. I learned it on the road with my parents so they could give me guidance, of course, in a residential area. After about a week of practicing I wanted to go on my own and see if I could do it. I did alright with some stalling, (hey it happens!). I wanted to go for a short drive one day and try a hill. I was still getting the hang of the clutch, when suddenly I was caught in a pickle. I could not turn around anywhere, so I had to deal with the hill. I tried to start off and I stalled the first time. I started the car back up and was afraid of rolling back, so I ended up giving it way too much gas and over revved the car. I smelled smoke immediately upon the incident and saw a blue cloud come out of the exhaust. I was so scared that I thought I had destroyed something in the engine compartment. How did this toad get here?

I live in a first floor flat with a huge communal, locked door, a long flight of stairs and of course my front door. Yet today I discovered a rather fat Common Toad in my hallway get batted around by my kitten. I'm sure the first thought would be the cat brought it in, but he's an indoor cat so that's impossible. I'm pretty confused as the nearest toad colonies are a good mile or two away and there are no ponds around here as it's just blocks of flats. Why are my cats acting different?

I have 2 outside cats, smokey (who is very shy and never talks or makes contact) and Pingpong (who is more brave and loves to be around people) they are both brothers and tonight as i was laying down by my window, smoky comes up to the window and meows forever! and it isn't really a warming meow, its more of a terrifide voice. this is very unusual for smokey to even come up to me. pingpong later shows up and bites him "i think to calm him down" and then they both start staring into the darkness and they keep doing that think with there ears to show there scared. Im really worried because my mom thinks this house is haunted and i wonder if my cats are seeing something im not.

Second hand smoke and distance running?

I run alot, like 30 miles a week, and I was wondering if hanging out with my friends who smoke would really do anything. It's usually in a house, with someone sitting several feet away and smoking. I'm not usually right in the middle of the cloud, just in a different room or in a corner, and usually only there for a few minutes. It sounds like it is not booting up. Try unplugging it from the power supply and take out the battery for about 2 minutes and then put the battery back in and plug in the power supply. Start it up and if it boots normally then get anything important to you off of it and onto Flash Drive or External Hard Drive. Then take it to a professional and have it checked out. The hard drive could be failing.

As for Empoleon, if your REALLY want to use Hydro Cannon, no huge loss. Ice beam rather than blizzard, and Flash Cannon for sure. Leafeon should be more offensive, like a set of Leaf Blade, X Scissor, Double Team, and Grasswhistle. Magnezone should have T bolt, T wave, Mirror Shot, and Tri Attack.Ad For Alakazam, I do not reccomend your set. MAke it strictly set up, or sweeper. Honestly, Alakazam sucks as setup, I like a set of Calm Mind Psychic, Energy Ball, and Focus Blast. But I have to still wonder where you'll get the pokemon. Why won't computer recognize drives other than c:?

I have an mp3 player and a flash drive on 2 usb ports. Even if the drives are listed in windows explorer, when I click on them nothing happens. Drives don't open. Folders don't come up. There's a "Mystery Dinner" that our drama club does as an end-of-year kind of thing; this year we'll be doing a 1920's gangster themed. I don't know my part yet, so I'm going very basic: what's the general 1920's makeup for a flapper? I've heard too many different versions... rouge, no rouge, mascara, no mascara, smoky eyes, all-around creme wash... Conversely, does anyone know what '20s women who dissaproved of flappers would've worn for makeup, if anything? Thanks in advance!

I need advice for a super aggressive cat?

I rescued Minette when she was 2 weeks old. I tube fed her and made her go to the bathroom with a rag so I really "did" love this stupid cat. This cats hates everything. She doesn't want me to touch her, play with her, pet her.. she is just a terrible animal! She just turned a year old and is very content just be left alone and fed. She will sleep on the bed as long as im not near her. I have two other cats whom are sweet as can be. No behavioral problems. I know Minette came from a feral colony so idk if this is just the way she is. Ive tried ignoring her but she only likes it even more. She hates everyone who visits me too. This friday I have the day off and am seriously thinking hard about having her put down. Im just tired of having an animal like this in my home. She has been fixed and up to date on her shots and really healthy so I know her anger is not from pain. My home is 1500sq ft so just me and 3 cats is more then plenty of room. Any last advice would be nice. I have cat toys, scratching posts, kitty jungle gyms (the one in my den goes all the way to the ceiling). Im just really disappointed in this animal. I have never had something that I fed and take care of treat me this way.

Computer Browser being slow?

alright, so I got this Windows 7 computer around a year ago, and it was awesome. The browser I started using was Google Chrome, and it was extremely fast, and I was very satisfied. However, my browser started doing this thing around 4 months after I got it- If I clicked on something while another page was loading, it would NEVER stop loading. It got to the point at which if I tried closing it and opening it again, it would feature a blank page and claim that it was loading, but no matter how long you left it there, it would keep on going. The only way to get the browser going again was to restart it. However, yesterday, I was watching some Inuyasha, when my computer unexpectedly died (I forgot to plug it in). Ever since then, my chrome REFUSED to start, no matter how many times I restarted, shut down, or logged off. A friend of mine told me to uninstall chrome and and install firefox instead. Somehow, I managed to do this, and at first, it seemed to be working nicely. But then, I tried watching some Inuyasha, only for it to lag AGAIN. I tried getting on my Deviantart, and it started lagging AGAIN. If I go on my email, or facebook, or anything that doesn't require flash, it works fine, but I can't watch veoh, and I can't get on my Deviantart without an excessive lag. Please tell me what I should do. (by the way, I have AVG free virus protection).

Why can smoke from a wildfire only be smelled at night?

There's a wildfire in AZ that has been burning since last week. I live almost 300 miles from where it started but the smoke and ashes hit us pretty quickly. During the day, the sky here is pretty clear and there's no smoke smell, just ashes flying around. I'm 16 and I started dance at the beginning of my school year (15) & I fell in love with it! How to scrape bacteria from agar plate?

I have 180 plates with hundreds thousand of single and each differentially unique colonies. I need to pool all the bacteria. The problem is some of the plates are stored in 4c for around one week and when I try to scrape them off, they are like mucus and very hard to resuspend them in broth. Even vortex doesn't help much. I try to pellet down the bacteria but there is no distinct pellet formed, but layers of insoluble "mucus". So I ended up only take the bottom layer and suspend it and discard all the upper layers. My question is: will it be possible the bacteria from the "old plates" (those that form mucus) is not present in the final bacteria suspension? As they are all in the mucus layers which I have already discarded. I just want to make sure my final bacteria suspension contains ALL the single unique bacteria from ALL the plates. Even one single bacteria will do.

How to backup files (not the site) on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007?

Specifically I want to be able to save the documents in SharePoint to a flash drive daily without having to do it manually. I know that I could write a program that would do it in a brute force way (or if someone knows of a script that could be modified to do it) but I was curious if there were other options. Note that I DO NOT want to back up the entire site (i.e. I do not want to end up with a single .cmp file. I want to have all of the files easily accessable on the flash drive as if I had originally saved them to the flash drive so I could just stick it into any old computer and open the files in their original format such as .doc or .ppt) Any input on this would be great!

I've seen beeswax from wild bees that made their hive inside a burnt-out hollow tree - the wax would be smoky. The hardness could simply be due to age. Beeswax will get harder the longer it sits. I used Black Jack roofing cement to fill a small gap where a piece of flashing was missing. I put a pretty good size bead/glob to ensure I filled in the small gap and the gap between the roof and the bottom piece of hardiplank. So, you can imagine how thick it is. It has be a good day and a half since I have done it and it's just as wet as when it came out of the tube. Is this normal? And, if it stays like will the force of a heavy rain mess the bead up? i want to know what brands of eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow work the best. i want to know how to apply them the best way to make my eyes pop, and with the mascara how to make my lashes thicker and longer. i have eyes that look like this: the pupil is black, then there is a medium ring of brown, then there is a large ring of green, then it is outlined by a small ring of smoky grayish black that makes my eye pop. so all together they are hazel. i want to know how to make my eyes look huge by just using some makeup, if you could specify colors that would go well with my eye that would be great. the only makeup products i use are mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lip gloss. please also list the brand, where i can find it, and the color. i really want my eyes to look beautiful without them being too overdone or goth. thanks for all of the help! love you guys(: <3

Why is yahoo mail useless on my ipad?

i can't use my yahoo email on my ipad. when i try to open an email, it says i need flash 9 - ipad doesn't have flash. When i do get them to open I can't scroll down on the touch screen to actually READ the email. When i put emails in the trash and then EMPTY the trash, when i go back to my inbox the emails are all there again. Useless. There's an app for iphone, why not ipad?

Studying through flashcards, but I still can't remember?

I am studying American History and there are 55 terms given to students through class lectures. 10 of those terms are going to be used on the test. We do not know which terms will be given, so this is going to be a bit worry some. The test is not a multiple choice answer. It is a term given to you, and you have to explain it the best you can. Each of those terms worth 5 points, and there will be some essay question that I have to study for which will worth 50 point.. I have created 55 flash cards, but I cannot remember all of them. I can only remember atleast 30 of those terms. My head hurts because I've been studying 4 hours straight including yesterdays hours. Right now, I am a bit clueless because a few hours ago, I remembered most of those terms, and now I forgot most of them. This is a summer class I'm taking, so days are going by really quick. Test is tomorrow. Am I screwed?

Why does my Sims 2 do this?

My normal Sims 2 plays normally but ponds flash red and almost a dark burgundy sort of colour. Which is fine because I don't like to put in ponds but when I install an expansion pack (eg: Pets), the walls flash that red and dark burgundy. But, if I put on Open for Business it doesn't flash. How can I get rid of ants in an unused kitchen?

depending on the color and type of surface you have the ants frequenting, my solution worked for a friends kitchen and he had mass ants. I purchased a big spray bottle from the dollar store and grabbed the bleach out of his laundry room. I filled this bottle a little over half with water and the rest with bleach. i sprayed them and the little trail back to the point of entry and they re-routed their little invasion real quick. I can't seem to find any products on the net that will kill a colony of ants by, for example, tricking the ants into bringing the poison to the queen ant. They all just attract ants in large numbers to the bait and then they die shortly afterward. This is clearly a temporary solution, as the queen can just make more ants. Also, I've read that sometimes, the ants actually learn to avoid the bait and will go to some lengths to avoid even crawling near it.

I hit the front of my head above my forehead 5 minutes ago on a wooden surface (window sill) moderately hard and saw the color blue for a split second before it went away. I have an extremely mild headache now. Please note: I did not lose consciousness, I am not vomiting or seeing colors anymore, no stroke symptoms, no altered mental state, etc. I do have a mild headache however, and at one point some mild pain behind my left eye, but no otrher symptoms. I am not dizzy and can walk fine. What concerned me was the brief flash of blue. Should i go to the doctors?

Info about a stray cat?

My moms friend invited my mom and I over. We were sitting on her back porch when a stray kitten is to come up on the deck. It came over to me, and rubbed against my leg. I pet her head and she laid down and stayed for a while. She was very skinny, so I don't think she belongs to anyone. her claws are long and greenish, witch is probably from plants and grass. I am trying to convince my moms friend to take the cat in. She is concerned about her daughter not being able to come over (her daughter is allergic to cats). This poor cat seems like it can't survive on its own! I would not feel comfortable giving her to a stranger. I want my moms friend to keep it, or better yet, myself! Is there any ideas on how to convince my mom? we already have 1 cat, so there are no allergy issues. I offered to pay for her vet trips/food, but she still won't budge. Even if the cat (smoky is what we call her because of her grey pattern that looks like smoke) can survive on its own, it deserves a nice, loving, and warm home. how can i convince my mom to take her in!?!

Can a sinus condition stem from being in a smoky room?

I was at my father's place this weekend, and his furnace, (wood burning) was leaking smoke into the house. I woke up at 2 am, with a splitting headache. I opened the window, and was able to doze on and off till morning. I took a Tylenol before bkt, and on my way back home, took another one at noon, and still another in the evening, with a bad headache, and sinus condition. I just finished a antibotic treatment for an ear ache on Wednesday, so maybe I was fragile? After taking Tylenols today, three times, I am better tonight. Hope it's over. Also, I had a flair up of my gout, which I have no reason to, my uric acid level is at 350, and I have been watching my intake of meats, and no drinks... so I really am not sure what this is all about. What I am suggesting is not that you have cancer, but please be aware of your surroundings. You most likely have a throat infection cause discomfort and irritation. Try rinsing with salt walter and use lozenges to ease the pain. Pharmacies often sell mouth washed with analgesic to numb the pain. If the irritation persists and you run a fever, you should try to see a doctor.

I have a Canon vixia and would like to just copy the files from the flash card to my PC. I don't have the software installed yet and am unable to before my vacation. Can I just copy the files from the flash card for storage on my pc and then import them to the software later? Okay well im not an expert at makeup, though i do wear make up, well i'd say wear foundation that natural, a colour that goes with your skin tone, also put a little blush on not too much that'll just make you look as if you've rubbed tomatoes on your cheeks , just a little blush to bring out your cheekbones, also for natural eyeliner wear brown , if you want it natural or black but dont put it on too thick just on the line, i wouldn't recomend mascara for a natural look instead curl your lashes that will look as if your lashes are naturally big.. and lip balm for your lips or clear lipgloss that will make you look beautiful yet natural, and if you dont feel comfortable just go to collage without make up im sure you'll look gorgeous both ways :)! from my general knowledge and experience with cats, pets and feral, it is sometimes because they are running out of places to go and limited food in other places. even though you don't see rats or mice or rabbits even squirrels and chipmunks they are there underground and in trees. cats often take refuge in places that are cleaner and have less traffic so they have more of a chance at surviving.

How can i convince my parents that video games aren't causing my epilepsy to get worse?

i have talked to my doctor alone without my parents in the room before and he has told me i am not photosensitive ( flashing images on video game screens and tvs do not affect me) and yet they still are persistent in stopping me from playing, it would not be a problem to me, its not like there my whole life but i have spend a large sum of money investing in these such as buying the disc and buying play time cards. This has been driving me insane the last half hour or so and it would be super appreciated if someone can help, I'll do my best at recalling. I think I saw this anime when i was either in elementary or middle school, so 90s or really early 2000s. The story was about a war between two countries (space colonies?) and a little bit of stupid romance. The main country in focus had like regular mechs (if that makes sense), whereas the enemy country had mechs that looked like gaogaiger/mazinger and other super robot types. The ending was really stupid, something like they just agreed to not go to war as long as the main characters marry each other or something.
