Do Americans have a unique accent?

John, I have been to the countries you have mentioned, all those countries have their own predominant accents. The is a difference between the North and the southern states in the US. However, if you listen to Australians when they speak, and I mean Australians, they have a unique dialect beyond sounding very English. I like the Australian accent, I learn something new every time I go there.
